Circle Wellness has a strict cancellation policy. A guest may contact Circle Wellness via phone or email to cancel a booking and receive a full refund up to 24 hours prior to their scheduled appointment. If less than 24 hours notice is given, the full cost of the booking will be charged.
How much does this experience cost?
We have a weekday and an evening / weekend rate. You are paying for the time in the Circuit so the price is the same for 1 or 2 people.
- Weekday daytime: $219 + 10.95 GST ($229.95)
- Evening / Weekend: $249 + 12.45 GST ($261.45)
How many people can use the Circuit at once?
The experience is built for one or two people. The intention of the Circuit experience is to minimize distraction and allow you to disconnect from the outside world and deeply relax.
Can I bring my kids?
The Circuit experience is not suitable for children.
I’m pregnant, can I still come?
It is never advisable for someone who is pregnant to raise their internal body temperature. Always consult your doctor if you are unsure. The experience we offer is less extreme temperatures than other typical thermal spas.
- Cedar soak tub: 39c
- Cold plunge: 10c. +-
- WelPod: 50c`
With notice we can adjust the tub temperatures; however the WelPod cannot be adjusted due to the specialized heating system. We advise people who are pregnant to only spend a short amount of time inside this space to avoid elevating the core body temperature.
Are you open even if it’s raining?
Absolutely. We love the Circuit in the rain. We do have covered areas in the Circuit; however, you spend a lot of your time in a hot tub, warm shower, and the heated WelPod so the contrast makes the experience even more special.
Where are you located?
Our Circuit and studio headquarters are located in downtown Vancouver at 390 Industrial Ave.
What do I need to bring?
Just yourself! And maybe a bathing suit if you don’t want to go naked.
What is provided?
- Towels
- Water
- Tea
- Sandals
- Skin care products
- Soap for hair and body
Can I bring my own hair/skin products?
We ask that you don’t bring your own products to use during your time in the Circuit. We have a very special natural hinoki oil soap that is good for your body, face and hair, as well as skin care products for after: including a toner mist, face oil and body oil. We love and care for our space greatly, and introducing outside products is not great for the wood.
Is there a hair dryer?
We do have one available that you can use in the bathroom in the studio. If you would like to bring your own you are more than welcome to; however, we do not have any outlets outside in the Circuit itself.
Can I bring food or drink?
We know that a session can make you really hungry, so if you like, you’re more than welcome to bring a snack for yourself for after. You may also want to bring a beverage high in electrolytes like coconut water.
What is a thermal spa?
It is a self-guided spa circuit with multiple therapeutic elements. These include wet, dry, hot, cold and different natural textures. Contrast hydrotherapy has numerous benefits for circulation, the lymphatic system and anti-inflammation and is extremely low impact.
How is this different from other spas?
There are no practitioners. This is a completely self guided experience. You do not have to share this space with others. We find this allows you to deeply relax in a way that doesn’t happen very often in modern life. We keep things as natural as possible. Because we are private we can drain, clean and fill the tubs for each session which means we don’t have to use chlorine. Your drinking water is also dechlorinated. We use salt, wood, charcoal, and essential oils to give you the chance to reconnect to natural elements.
The WelPod is a multi-sensory infrared sauna featuring Himalayan salt walls. It includes carefully curated aromatics, music, lighting and air flow, and has radiant heat set to 50 degrees celsius. Most other saunas are usually around 90c, so this allows for a much more gentle and gradual experience. This room is also an open concept, without any benches, which encourages a freer range of movement.
I’ve been on the waitlist for awhile, how much longer will I have to wait?
Unfortunately, this is a very tricky one to answer. Our waitlist at this point is quite extensive and due to the unpredictable nature of cancellations, it’s very difficult for us to gauge a timeline. Recently, we have had about one session a week being filled from the waitlist. We greatly appreciate your patience as we work on developing a large location in Vancouver so we can accommodate you all!
There’s only 1 hour parking. Where do I park?
The street parking along our stretch of Industrial Ave is never monitored, so you are safe to park anywhere. If there is no parking, let us know and you can park inside our courtyard. Please do not park directly in front of the gate as this is a shared studio space and it may block the way for someone who needs access.
How is it cleaned?
The Circle Wellness cleaning protocols meet and exceed current Vancouver Coastal Health and Work Safe BC guidelines. Our tubs are single use, which means they are drained, cleaned and filled with fresh water for every session.
Before and after every private session the entire outdoor space is thoroughly cleaned with pressurized hot water, and all touchable surfaces, tubs, and wellness pod are cleaned with a non-toxic disinfectant, PREempt – accelerated peroxide, which is capable of killing bacteria and viruses.
Salt and cedar are also naturally antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-fungal materials.
For both drain and fill tubs we use pressurized hot hose water (140F), PREempt accelerated peroxide, manual scrubbing, and thorough rinsing. During soaking sessions, we allow the water to bridge up and over the edges of the tub, like a traditional Japanese ofuro tub – this keeps the water very clean while in use and all debris falls over the edge into our drainage system.
For the WelPod floor we use PREempt accelerated peroxide with microfibre cloths. The salt walls get wiped down with a damp microfibre cloth with multiple rinses throughout the process, removing any dust or debris effectively. Bacteria and viruses cannot live on salt as it is a cytotoxic material.
50C + temps of the pod will also not allow bacteria or viruses to live.
There is ample time between every session to be very meticulous with our cleaning methods, and we change the air over many times in the pod using our ventilation system between sessions.
If you have any specific questions, concerns, or feedback about our cleaning protocols please feel free to get in touch with us.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Due to extremely high demand and limited availability, we have decided to discontinue gift certificates at this time. Our intention is to give priority to people with existing gift certificates to book sessions.
If you would like to gift someone a session we ask that you pre-book a time and it can be changed at a later date if necessary.
Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
