Circle Wellness exists as a counterpoint to modern life: a deeply immersive environment designed to help guests disconnect from the outside world and reconnect within.
More than a decade in the making, Circle Wellness emerged from an exploration of how light, sound, temperature, and materiality can shape and improve the human experience.
Inspired by the bathing cultures of Japan, Korea, and Northern Europe, as well as the experiential and experimental aspects of North American underground music and art scenes.
The concept first emerged in Vancouver in 2020, when a studio specializing in custom spa design and build quietly opened its outdoor showroom to the public as an Airbnb Experience. The space brought together a series of early prototypes, enabling the public to experience the designs firsthand rather than encountering them only as products intended for private use.
In doing so, it created a valuable feedback loop with wellness-seeking guests visiting Vancouver from around the world. With each visit, the experience became more refined. Before the circuit was fully automated, the audio and visual elements were mixed live from the studio during each session.
The goal was singular: to create an experience so intuitive and immersive that people could truly let go. That commitment to atmosphere and emotional resonance became the foundation of Circle Wellness.
Word of mouth grew quickly. Guests returned again and again, bringing loved ones, gifting sessions, and sharing how the experience left them feeling: restored, lighter, and inspired.
That response revealed something bigger than a design-build business. It pointed to a new path forward: pivoting from a design build studio to an experience-led wellness brand that could reach far more people.
Circle Wellness’s first flagship location in Vancouver was the world’s first automated private thermal spa.
It pioneered an immersive wellness experience that integrates contrast thermal therapy, world class AV design, natural materials, and precise environmental controls and automation.
The experience is private and self-contained. A sequence of automated cues create a natural rhythm that removes decision-making, allowing guests to intuitively move through their sessions. Every moment and detail is considered so you can unplug, turn inward, and restore.
